Can I pray for you?

Can I pray for you? This was the call to action, in October at our local church. After being locked down for what seemed an eternity, we hit the streets of various neighborhoods in the city of Encarnacion to ask the following question;  Can I pray for you?  We were all wearing yellow shirts with one mandate. Go from house to house and ask people this simple question. In most homes, people were receptive to a word of prayer. We gave a new testament, and a magnet with a phone number they can call anytime to ask for prayer and help.  I was reminded of Jesus when he sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.  He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. We get cozy and enjoy being with people we know. But going and reaching new people who have not heard Gods voice and experienced the abundant life is transformative....

Bold Prayers honor God, and God honors Bold prayers.

One of my first friends when my parents moved as missionaries to Paraguay was Donald Franz. He was a kid who grew up in a Christian family. His father wanted him to become a business man, but God had other plans. Let me share a little about him. I am seeing again how God can take a young kid, or any christian for that matter and answer crazy prayers. At age 18th Donald felt called into ministry after reading Billy Graham autobiography. From that moment he said: I want to reach as many people as I possible can for Christ.  He went to bible seminary, graduated and soon after began a house church in his living room back in 2002. FAST FORWARD 15 years from that moment God has blessed him with a wonderful wife and 4 beautiful children who love the Lord. He has been involved in five church plants, a christian TV station two christian schools Today he is leading  two churches each of  approximately 1000 + very active members. On Saturday night he preaches...

We moved to Encarnacion, our state capital

Many things have changed for Nancy and I over this past year. After we got married in March of 2015, I moved into Nancys community (20 miles from my place in Obligado by Radio Alternativa). Nancys has a confortable, mid size home in a small town called Capitan Miranda. We both felt, this would be good for everyone for this first year as a new family. Since our kids go to school in Encarnacion, about 10 miles away and all their friends and activities are in that city, we decided to rent an apartment and move our family closer to our home church and school. Our two lane road connecting Encarnacion and Miranda is usually very packed and busy, and at times dangerous to drive.  Nancys pregnancy is moving along well. The due date for the arrival of the little one is June 6 th . Moving closer will spare both of us driving time. Plus, the kids are a now within walking distance from the school. Personally, I am involved with ministry in various places of our state and countr...
