Motorcycle people. Paraguay national rally (8th)

This past weekend Nancy and I got to share a devotional during out 8th national rally - this is CMA (Christian Motorcycle's Association) People from Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Argentina had representation. Did you know that CMA international will celebrate big time this year in Mena AR. CMA is turning 50 this year. If you want to find out more about this incredible organization with a kingdom of God mentality, check:   https://cmausa.org/Resources/ CMAInternational CMA continues to bless pastors and leaders with motorcycles every year across denominations in Paraguay. It’s so rewarding to see how these motorcycles are being used to bless men and women across denominations. I have myself growing to appreciate the power of motorcycles to get around. My trip last year on the Pan-American Highway proved that people still value the agility of traveling on motorcycles. CMA just went up a notch - we share Jesus with those we encounter. This makes every trip an opportunity to share ...

CMA 7th Rally in Paraguay and First South American

It was the first South American CMA leadership training and rally. Between April 3-7th in San Lorenzo,  outbound a of Asuncion over 200 men and women from CMA gathered.  USA, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. From Paraguay we had 6 chapters represent five states with CMA presence.  The theme for this year was; " Servants of God on the roads"  We had a full house at Rancho Alegre. Some bikers from neighboring countries rode over 1000 miles to be at this year’s event.  Goods spirit was present in the services, kitchen, games, and the moments of informal fellowship.  The training with Holly Ogden (USA) and Cassidy (MX) was another key part of this years event. Both of these committed ladies to CMA share a passion for the Lord and the way this ministry can reach the lost. How to better reach the biker world and live out our calling were themes during this training.  Oscar Klassen and his family are national directors of CMA. They are lea...

The last two decades

One of the greatest joys and rewards over the past 20 years, has been seeing hundreds and thousands of paraguayans transformed by the various ministry we have had the opportunity of pioneering, connecting and joining. 1. Radio Alternativa 2000 - to date. (thousands daily hear the good news) 2. Children of Promise - 2005 to date. (hundred of kids impacted with God's love and are today men and women with a influence) 3. Fifteen Church and classrooms buildings raised up with teams from the USA. (These buildings have ranged from small classrooms to sizes seating 300 +) 4. Leadership training programs (Icci Obligado was one of the efforts to establish a bivocational training school) Today the Bethel Bible Series is an effort to continue these trainings. 5. CMA Paraguay 2005 to date. (Today CMA Paraguay has been established in five states thanks to an incredible team of men and women in Paraguay that love bikes and Jesus) 6. CMA motorcycles donations. (We have given away 80+ motorcycles ...

CMA, Christian Motorcycle Group back to Paraguay after 3 years

Its always fun to host a CMA group. They represent different ethnic groups, faith groups and locations. In the month of February, we will be traveling through Paraguay to give away two new bikes and also pray for leaders and pastors in four states who have received motorcycles over the past years.  CMA is an organization which reaches the biker world one heart a time. Its a joy to be a part of this organization. Since 2007, CMA has started in Paraguay with a handful of men and women. Today CMA has become a growing force in Paraguay, reaching the lost and bringing together those who are passionate about Jesus and the motorcycle community.  You don't have to divorce your faith from your hobby, as some would argue.

CMA PARAGUAY, 5th National Rally

Over the weekend of April 29th -30th 2022 in Campo 9, state of Caaguazu Paraguay, we were part of the 5th CMA national rally.  When CMA started back in 2006, we never thought it would become a national force to grab the attention of Paraguayan bikers with a passion for God and big engines. But it did, and today I see how God can use crazy projects, and dreamers like  Herb Shreve (founder)  to accomplish his purposes.  The theme for this weekend was RESET . After covid-19 and all the uncertainties around the world, we are living a change of paradigm on how to do things, what to expect and how to operate in this digital, fast changing world.  I was invited to share  a word, during a sessions at the rally.  Jesus himself a master reset pioneer. He challenged the thinking of contemporary Jews. He would confront the status quo, fulfill scripture  by being faithful to the prophets, yet contextual to the needs of the people. He always dealt with the hear...

4th CMA Paraguay National Rally

8:30 AM. We leave the capital city of Asuncion. Several trucks and a dozen or so motorcycles line up to travel for six hours into the great Chaco, also known and coined by the early settlers as the green hell. Water is scarce and the soil is not good for crop production.  3:00 PM. We arrive in Flor del Chaco is a nice and comfortable campground outside the town of Filadelfia. The place sits on 400 acres of real Chaco forest. Flor del Chaco is a  Mennonite retreat place - really perfect retreat place. No phone connection, no WIFI, no noise. The stars at night are breathtaking. Rodadores Redimidos - the local chapter welcomed us with cheers. Last year the event was cancelled due to covid. This year, they went ahead in spite of experiencing the worst yet during the pandemic. We had a blast and it gave us a reason to travel and join forces as CMA Paraguay. I traveled with my two oldest kids, Marcos and Nicole. So it turned into a family trip as well. It was our first trip int...

CMA is gaining traction in Paraguay

CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) is experiencing a new season of growth in Paraguay. Little did we imagine, back in 2006, what we see today. After that initial meeting with John Ogden and Hiram Villa senor and a decade later with ups and downs, CMA is gaining traction; One of those men in that meeting back in 2006 was Roland, today our national leader. Others have caught the vision and are wearing the patches with honor representing this ministry and the vision, of reaching one biker at the time. During our second national rally this past weekend, I have sensed again, the passion that drives bikers with a purpose. The DNA of CMA is running through the veins of Paraguayan members. These new members are on fire, riding the Paraguayan roads with a sense of purpose and direction. https://www.facebook.com/cma.asuncion2013/?ref=br_rs We are now present in four states with membership nearing 100. During this rally, members of the national office in the US where present gi...
