Good News and an Adoption Giveaway

Want some good news?  On Dec. 30 we received the news from our lawyer that Esther Anahi is officially OUR baby girl!!  The adoption here in Paraguay is finalized!!!  We now have to wait for the month long legal holiday to finish so we can get her new birth certificate and start the Paraguayan ID process. We can't say THANK YOU enough for your prayers for this very long process.  PRAISE GOD from whom all blessings flow.  She was worth every minute!   Now the giveaway.  Interestingly, this week a blogger pressed the "next blog" button and stumbled upon our blog.  That person named Jane, is an artist in the UK.  She also happens to be an advocate for Reeces' Rainbow , orphan ministry.  The incredible connection is that she is doing a giveaway of an amazing piece of art for Ryan .  He's the little boy that God allowed us to be a very small part of his story.  Jane, is giving away her stunning, original piece of art called, "Be...

One of the Finalists!!!

Hi Friends,  thank you so much for commenting in the missionary blog contest!.  Although we did not win the kindle (a missionary from Ukraine won), we are so happy to know that you are reading and feel so blessed to have your loving support. Well, would you like another chance to help us win??  We just found out we were chosen as one of 11 finalists for the Mocha Dad Father's Day photo contest !  Would you go there and vote for our photo.  You can vote once/day until June 2.  It's this one: Isn't that sweet?  Timmy continues to be the joy of Norb's life.  The winning photo will receive an external hard drive (perfect for a Father's day present, don't ya think?)

Do you Like to Win Stuff?

We do too! So, if you help us we'll help you win a prize too.  Let's explain...Remember last year how we were really trying to feed our addiction to books hankering to win a kindle in the missionary blog contest ? Well, some dude from Togo, Africa won it. This year, Missionary-Blogs is hosting the contest again and we thinks that the prize needs to go to some folks in Paraguay (wink, wink). Here's why we think we should win the kindle: 1.  shipping books to Paraguay is super expensive and takes months. 2.  we don't have any more room on the bookshelves 3.  we want to help save the planet and trees 4.  we want to actually have a gadget that came out later than the 90s. (yes we still use a VCR and analog tv) Here’s what you need to do to help us win: Leave a comment on a missionary blogger’s blog (ahem, that would be Passion for Paraguay ).  The comment must be relevant… not just Hi I love your blog .  Comment on what the post is about...

Motorcycle Trip and a Giveaway!

No, we are not giving away a trip!  But we are giving away a cool prize, which I'll explain in just a sec. About the trip....Norberto is heading out to the CMA international rally in Hatfield, Arkansas on Monday with the Paraguay CMA Chapter President, Roland (pictured right).  Here is Roland inducting a new member of CMA Paraguay at the ceremony last week. Roland is terrified of flying.  He told us a few years ago that he would NEVER step foot on an airplane.  Never say never.  Roland is flying to the rally, folks!  The only reason he agreed to the trip is that he believes that God has told him he needs to be there .  Please pray for Roland as he is taking a leap flight of faith.    Norberto is representing Missionary Ventures at the 35th anniversary of CMA changing of the Colors and will be sharing about how the gift of motorcycles to indigenous pastors has had such a profound effect on the spreading of God's word here. If you are ...
